About SITEC
Engineering, Survey & Project Systems for Mining and Infrastructure — Your Partners in Growth.
Who We Are
SITEC SARL is a technical-services firm based in Bamako, Mali, providing engineering, survey and project systems to mining and infrastructure projects across West Africa. We pair international engineering standards with hands-on field delivery — and work fluently in both French and English. We are not a general contractor, and we do not sell generic consulting by the hour. We provide practical technical support to project owners, EPCM/PMC teams and contractors — from engineering reviews and reliable survey data to project delivery systems and contractor readiness.
The focus is deliberate. We work only in the sectors where precision, controls and site-readiness decide whether a project succeeds — mining, industrial infrastructure, energy and the linear works that connect them.

How We're Different
Four things that change the outcome on a West African project.
Embedded, Not at Arm's Length
We sit in your project office and on your site — one interface, faster decisions, fewer handoffs. You get engineers and controllers who own the problem alongside your team, not a report written from a distant desk.
Independent Engineering Assurance
We verify designs, calculations and contractor work against international codes before money is committed — catching deficiencies on paper instead of in concrete. Our value is being the technically independent check, not the party marking its own homework.
Genuinely Bilingual Delivery
Every deliverable is issued in French and English, and we supervise crews in the language they actually speak. On projects that bridge francophone operators and anglophone EPCMs, that removes the costliest source of error: miscommunication.
Engineering & Survey, Integrated
Our engineering and survey capabilities sit under one roof, so terrain data arrives in engineering-ready formats and design decisions trace back to verified ground truth — with no translation loss between disciplines.
Capability & Equipment
The tools and disciplines we bring to site.
SITEC delivers across four integrated capability areas.
- Engineering — technical reviews, BoQs, method statements, constructability support and QA/QC systems, with design coordination through licensed partners where certification is required.
- Survey and geomatics (our SitecFly division) — a drone fleet (RTK/PPK mapping, LiDAR, thermal, zoom-inspection and cinema), GNSS/RTK, total stations and levels; topo, volumes, as-builts and aerial mapping in engineering-ready formats.
- Project delivery and construction support — supervision, progress reporting, document control and interface coordination that keep execution controlled.
- Contractor readiness — the systems, documentation and capacity local and regional contractors need to compete on formal mining and infrastructure work.
West Africa, Specifically
Generic “African experience” is not the same as knowing this ground. We plan around the realities that actually move schedules here: the Harmattan dust season and the May–October rains; remote concessions reached on laterite haul roads with unreliable grid power; long customs and supply lead times across borders; and the need to satisfy national regulators while delivering to international codes. We work across both francophone and anglophone jurisdictions, within the OHADA legal framework (harmonised African business law), and structure work to meet local-content expectations.
It is why we built SITEC where the work is — in Bamako, close to the gold belt and the infrastructure corridors we serve — rather than parachuting teams in. We are equally committed to building local technical capability and long-term partnerships with the clients and communities we work alongside.
